A thousand years later, Varion, an orphan made from betrayal, faces a choice once his mentor presents him with the truth. To go to the Black Tower, become a Warrior of the Black and avenge his parents by killing the Emperor or… live life simply without his mentor and father figure.

With no way to return back to his village and his bloodline weighing heavily in his mind, he makes the choice.

It was supposed to be easy. Climb the Tower and ascend it, but fate has something else prepared for him.
